Eighth National Sacred Circle
“Lifted on the Wings of Faith: Heeding the Indigenous Call”
August 16-22, 2015
Port Elgin, Ont.

The Anglican Indigenous Sacred Circle is the national gathering and decision-making body for Indigenous Anglicans in Canada. Since 1988, First Nations, Métis and Inuit members of local Anglican churches have gathered every three years to talk about our spiritual lives, past and present experiences, our hopes for the future and our relationships with the Anglican Church of Canada.

At the 2015 Sacred Circle, delegates will worship and sing praises to God, meet daily in small talking circles, learn about the issues affecting Indigenous people, and hear about new developments in our ministry and the implementation of new area missions. A key area of discussion is the document Where We Are Today: Twenty Years After the Covenant, an Indigenous Call to the Wider Church. We will consider next steps and set directions for the Church and the Anglican Council of Indigenous Peoples—all with lots of singing together and witnessing at the evening Gospel Jamborees.
