This website showcases how dioceses across Canada are using a variety of tools to transform mission in their areas. They are hosting conversations on many topics: models of church planting, reconfiguration of ministry in dying congregations, the growing of healthy congregations, and more.
Vision 2019, the Anglican Church of Canada’s strategic plan, is the framework in which the Anglican Church of Canada is attempting to speak collectively about this renewal across the country. Dioceses are seeking to build a common language and a coherent narrative about these developments.
Staff in Faith, Worship, and Ministry hope that the information here will not only provide an opportunity for a cross-fertilization of ideas but will be a source of inspiration and relevant tools for the church to deploy at different levels. We desire to connect communities that are interested in the development of lay leadership and in growing vital and healthy congregations.

Vital and Healthy Parishes
Ongoing efforts to enhance congregational vitality received a fresh boost in spring 2015 when Anglicans and Lutherans met in Niagara Falls, Ont., for the second annual Vital and Healthy Parishes (VHP) consultation. The three-day meeting, which took place from May 11 to 13 at the Mount Carmel Spiritual Centre, built on the previous year’s consultation and saw an increased turnout among Lutherans and smaller Anglican dioceses.
