TORONTO, ONTARIO — The national office of the Anglican Church of Canada would like to extend a warm welcome to the newly appointed Director of Communications and Information Resources, Joseph Vecsi.

Joe has provided communications leadership to a variety of industries including the public service, financial services, not-for-profit associations, as well as the health-care sector. A few highlights from Joe’s background in managing teams include: overseeing print and online publications, social and traditional media, government relations, strategy development and execution, and crisis communications.

In this role, Joe will manage a professional communications team of approximately 15 employees, aligning the communications strategies of the organization, and ensuring that the narrative of the Church is delivered effectively to members and key audiences. The main platforms in this portfolio include the Anglican Journal, videos, social media and websites. He will also work with various committees, governments, media outlets, governance bodies and other stakeholders to deliver on the church’s goals and objectives.
