Biographical Sketch:

Lloyd Jackson Delaney (1917-2002) was educated at Trinity College, Toronto.  He was ordained deacon in 1941 and priest in 1942.  Delaney served parishes in the Diocese of Toronto including Perrytown with Gores Landing and Harwood, 1943-1948; Lakefield, 1948-1957; and Midland, 1957-1968.  Delaney wrote a book about the church in Gores’ Landing (Small but Bountiful) and several articles about rural ministry in Canada.  He was involved with rural ministry associations and was a Canadian national representative on the Rural Workers Fellowship, an American organization.

Custodial History:
M83-2 donated by the Rev. Lloyd J. Delaney Records in the custody of Paul Delaney donated in several deposits.
Scope and Content:

Fonds consists of Delaney’s personal papers, writings and publications, and research files on Rice Lake, Gore’s Landing, Ont., the Rural Workers Fellowship and other files related to national rural ministry and related associations.
