A new draft of the framework intended to guide the work and mission of the Anglican Church of Canada to the year 2010 is now ready to go to members of General Synod.

The document was considered at the recent meeting of the Council of General Synod. CoGS agreed to send the document to General Synod, subject to some revisions, which were to be reviewed and approved by the Officers of General Synod. The Officers met by conference call last week and approved those revisions.

Among other changes, the document now has a new title and subtitle: Serving God’s World, Strengthening the Church: A Framework for a common journey in Christ, 2005 – 2010.

General Synod will debate the framework when it meets in St. Catharines, Ont., at the end of May.
