Meet the MinistryMatters columnists

This content was published more than 15 years ago. Some information may no longer be current or accurate.

Each week fresh columns are posted on ministrymatters.ca, the online magazine for Canadian Anglican leaders. These are the columnists and what they cover:

  • Theology professor Dr. Stephen Martin writes about redemption and public space in the new South Africa.
  • The Rev. Kyle Wagner, a brand new curate, records the ups and downs of his first year in ordained ministry.
  • The Rev. Canon Megan Collings-Moore shares lessons she’s learned as a campus chaplain.

First launched in 1993, MinistryMatters has consistently been one of the most popular resources from General Synod’s communications department. It has been honoured by both the Canadian Church Press and the U.S.-based Associated Church Press.

In 2009 MinistryMatters moved online, where it will publish the same mix of meditative and practical ministry articles in three issues a year-September, January, and May. New online elements include weekly columnists, a video feature, and the opportunity for readers to comment. Selected stories from the MinistryMatters archives are also updated frequently.

The first fully online edition—Fall 2009—includes an update on the Solomon Islands conflict by the Right Rev. Dr. Terry Brown, a traveller’s tale by Nicole Uzans, and a re-orientation to the book of Genesis by the Rev. Terry LeBlanc.

MinistryMatters is a great way for Canadian Anglicans involved in ministry to share joys, challenges, and musings with the rest of the church. Read the magazine online, post a comment, or pitch an idea for a column, an article, or a short video. MinistryMatters has always been about connecting a larger community, and you are most welcome to join in online.
