Biographical Sketch:

William Carpenter Bompas (1834-1906) was ordained Deacon 1859 and Priest 1865.  Curate in Lincolnshire, England, 1859-1863.  CMS Missionary in Yukon, 1866-1874; Bishop of Athabasca (First), 1874-1884; Bishop of MacKenzie River (First), 1884-1891; Bishop of Selkirk (First), 1891-1905.  He married Charlotte Selina (Nina) Cox (1830-1918) in May 1874.

Scope and Content:

Fonds consists of correspondence by William C. Bompas and Selina Bompas, photographs, and a notebook of translations.
